This time there is the latest news that makes us even more proud of an Indonesian child. The name Indra Rudiansyah is now in the spotlight because he is a member of the AstraZeneca vaccine discovery team.
Indra is an Indonesian student studying at the University of Oxford. He joined the Jenner Institute team led by Professor Sarah Gilbert. Since a year ago, Indra has been working with the Jenner Institute and the Oxford Vaccine Group.

Studying at the University of Oxford, Indra is a PhD student in Clinical and his first research is on the malaria vaccine. However, he decided to join the vaccine clinical trial team, Jenner Institute.
Indra is a graduate of ITB majoring in Microbiology for his undergraduate degree and Biotechnology for his master's degree. He is a recipient of LPDP scholarship and a graduate of the Djarum Plus Scholarship Program, also known as Beswan Djarum 2011-2012.
He is also part of the clinical trial team responsible for testing the antibody response of vaccinated volunteers. The development process of the AstraZeneca vaccine is considered very fast.
As a result of hard work, now more than 600 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine are supplied to 170 countries worldwide. Although AstraZeneca is the cheapest, its efficacy is quite high, including its ability to prevent COVID-19 Delta variant infections.
Many praises were given to the intelligent student. Politician Budiman Sudjatmiko, Erick Thohir, and Zubairi Djoerban, who is the chairman of the COVID-19 Handling Task Force of the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI), are also proud and appreciate the figure of Indra Rudiansyah. Well done, Indra!
