"Take a morning bath on that day (Eid day)." (Cairo, Al-Maktabah At-Taufiqiyyah, n.d., page 437).

As for the recommended bath, it is not a regular bath, but a bath in the morning by pouring water over the entire body and limbs, from the hair to the soles of the feet. This bath can be done before or after performing the morning Fajr prayer. This recommended bath can also be done from midnight.

"The recommended time for the recommended bath (Eid al-Fitr/Eid al-Adha) is at midnight." (Sheikh al-Baijuri in his book Hasyiyatu Asy-Syaikh Ibrahim al-Baijuri ala Syarh al-Allamah Ibn al-Qasim al-Ghazi 'ala Matn asy-Syaikh Abi Syuja).

There are several types of baths recommended by the Prophet Muhammad, including bathing before Friday prayer, bathing after bathing the deceased, bathing before Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, and many more.

From Ali bin Abi Talib: Someone once asked Ali radhiyallahu anhu about bathing. Ali answered, "Take a bath every day if you want." The person said, "No. I mean, which bath is recommended?" Ali replied, "Bathing on Friday, Arafah day, Eid al-Adha, and Eid al-Fitr." (HR.Al Baihaqi 3/278. Sheikh Al Albani said that the chain of narration of this hadith is authentic).

1. Before Eid al-Fitr prayer, it is recommended to increase the recitation of takbeer, tahmid, and tasbih.

2. Eid al-Fitr prayer begins with the call of "ash-shalatu jami'ah" which means "Congregational prayer is about to be established". In addition, Eid al-Fitr prayer is performed without the adhan and iqamah.

3. Reciting the intention for Eid al-Fitr prayer "Ushallii sunnatan lii'idil fitri rak'ataini imaaman/makmuuman lillahi ta'aala." (I intend to perform the Eid al-Fitr sunnah prayer, two rak'ahs, as an imam/follower for the sake of Allah ta'ala.)

5. Seven takbirs in the first rak'ah of Eid prayer by saying takbir seven times after reciting the opening supplication. The seven takbirs are said while raising the hands. In between the seven takbirs, it is recommended to recite the following:

"Subhanallah, walhamdulillah, wala ilaha illallah, wallahu akbar, wa la haula wala quwwata illa billahil 'aliyyil azhim." (Glory be to Allah, all praise is for Him, there is no god but Allah, Allah is the greatest, and there is no power or strength except with Allah, the Most High, the Most Great.)

6. Recite Surah al-Fatihah after the seven takbirs. After that, it is recommended to recite Surah al-A'la.

7. Then continue with the bowing, standing upright after bowing, prostration, sitting between the two prostrations, and the second prostration, like in regular prayer. Then, stand up again to perform the second rak'ah.

8. Five takbirs in the second rak'ah while raising the hands as before. In between each of the five takbirs, it is recommended to recite the following:

"Subhanallah, walhamdulillah, wala ilaha illallah, wallahu akbar, wa la haula wala quwwata illa billahil 'aliyyil azhim." (Glory be to Allah, all praise is for Him, there is no god but Allah, Allah is the greatest, and there is no power or strength except with Allah, the Most High, the Most Great.)

9. After the five takbirs, recite Surah al-Fatihah, and then it is recommended to recite Surah al-Ghasyiyah.

10. Then continue with the bowing, standing upright after bowing, prostration, sitting between the two prostrations, the second prostration, sitting for the final tashahhud, and the greeting.

11. After the prayer, it is good to listen to the Eid sermon with devotion.
