This is the figure of Ghozali who went viral in the past few days. He became widely known because of his sales on OpenSea, one of the NFT buying and selling sites.
Unlike other users, he consistently sells selfie photos while in front of the computer.
Interestingly, he has been consistently selling his selfie photos for 5 years, starting from 2017 until now.
At first glance, there is nothing interesting about his 'merchandise', but his consistency attracts a lot of interest from NFT collectors.
On the platform that uses crypto currency as a transaction tool, initially he valued his photos at 0.0001 ETH (Ethereum) or around Rp45,000.
However, with the viral nature and the high number of fans, the price of his photos skyrocketed to around 1.01 ETH or equivalent to Rp48 million for 1 photo.
Even through his Twitter account @/Ghozali_Ghozalu, he revealed that in just 3 days, his NFT sold more than 231 items.
Knowing that his NFT has many fans, he even got confused why people would buy his NFT.
Now Ghozali can enjoy the fruits of his labor, thanks to the sale of his NFT, he was able to pocket 258 ETH or equivalent to 13 billion.
This high sales volume has attracted many figures, one of whom is Sandiaga Uno who praised Ghozali's creativity.
