1. Living in a Boarding House

Due to the small size of their living space, there was only a small area for sleeping. The house was also used to store sawn wood and bamboo, as it was the means for Jokowi's father and mother to support their family's livelihood.

2. A Caring Mother

Since childhood, Jokowi witnessed his mother working hard and being attentive to her children. From waking up to going back to sleep, he always received attention from his mother.

"She truly took care of her children. We were well taken care of from the moment we woke up until we fell asleep at night," Jokowi shared about his mother.

3. Selling Bamboo

Even his mother also helps in selling bamboo, not only serving customers but also sometimes carrying heavy bamboo pieces.

After helping with selling bamboo, his mother will return home and devote all her time to her children.
