Bowo is not alone in carrying out activities as a garbage collector, he does it all together with his wife. So what is their reason for living under the stadium stairs?
Apparently, the reason they revealed is quite simple, namely because his work is close to the stadium and the used items collected from garbage collection are placed near the stadium stairs.
The man admitted that he was afraid the collected items would be lost if he rented a boarding house or rented a house. Not only that, it turns out that the stadium also provides him with water for cooking and bathroom facilities.
Since 1999, Bowo has been sleeping under the stairs of Gajayana Stadium in Malang. Of course, he is not alone but also with his wife.
On the other hand, he admitted that he has a house in the Malang Regency area, precisely in Gondanglegi. However, due to job demands, he eventually chose to sleep under the stadium stairs. They will return to their hometown once a month.
On December 26, 2019, Bowo was warned by the Satuan Polisi Pamong Praja (Satpol PP) to leave his residence and was given until January 6, 2020.
Because of this, apparently Bowo will commute from Gajayana-Gondanglegi Stadium every day. He will also no longer collect used items and will only work at RS Hermina.
