Viral Child 'the Same Age' as His Mother, Said to Break World Record

Now they have two children, Emma and Molly, who were the result of frozen embryo adoption. Their second child, Molly, who was born on October 26, 2020, was found to have been frozen in October 1992. Meanwhile, the mother, Tina, was born in April 1991, so their age gap is only 1.5 years.

2. Freezing Process

According to Medical News Today, the process begins by retrieving and extracting eggs from the woman's uterus. The eggs are then fertilized with sperm to form embryos. This process is commonly known as in vitro fertilization.

The embryos are then stored in liquid nitrogen for freezing. According to NEDC Development Director Mark Mellinger, these embryos can be used at any desired time as long as they are properly stored and their quality is maintained.

3. Oldest Embryo

Meanwhile, medical research staff at the University of Tennessee said that Molly's birth could be a world record for the longest frozen embryo storage. This is because when transferred to Tina's uterus, Emma's embryo was 24 years old. However, Tina and her husband didn't care about it because they were grateful to have a child.
