The figure of the Governor of Central Kalimantan, Sugianto Sabran, suddenly went viral. This happened after his bottle-throwing action.
The action was taken during a football match between Kalteng Putra and Persib Bandung at Tuah Pahoe Stadium, Palangka Raya, on Friday, November 1, 2019.
Reported by Antara, Sugianto became furious because of the leadership of referee Abdul Rahman from DKI Jakarta, which was deemed unfair.
The match was delayed for 5 minutes when the referee gave a 'gift' of a red card to one of the Kalteng Putra players, Patrich Wanggai.
He admitted his mistake, and said that his action was triggered by the biased leadership of the referee.
"Don't follow, but there are times when a leader expresses emotions appropriately. If injustice is allowed in front of our eyes, then it's not called leadership, it's just that the referee repeatedly allowed it," he said as quoted by Liputan 6.
He also urged others not to follow his actions.
