Viral Indonesian National Anthem Song by Malaysian Youtuber: "Matilah Jokoko, Mampuslah Soekarnoporno"

Kapanlagi.com - Recently, a video uploading a parody version of the Indonesian National Anthem song was uploaded on YouTube. The video was uploaded by an account with the Malaysian flag logo under the Youtube account name MY Asean.

In the 1.31-minute video, the Indonesian song was completely changed in arrangement and lyrics with a tendency towards insult. At the time of writing this news, the video has been deleted from the MY Asean account.

1. Not Staying Silent

Following this incident, the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Malaysia did not stay silent. Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemenlu), Teuku Faizasyah, affirmed that they immediately took action by reporting this alleged insult to the Royal Malaysian Police, which was known through Instagram @lambe_turah.

"The Indonesian Embassy in KL (Kuala Lumpur) has reported this matter to the Malaysian police," said Teuku Faizasyah as quoted from Okezone.com from Instagram @lambe_turah, Sunday (27/12/2020).

2. Disrespectful Content Images

Not only the arrangement of the song and lyrics were insulted, but the images accompanying the video also contained disrespectful content towards Indonesia.

In the Instagram post, Lambe Turah wrote a short message. The message expressed hope that those who insulted Indonesia would be arrested soon and there would be no more conflicts between countries.

"Disrespectful, Hopefully Arrested Soon...", wrote the caption in the Instagram post by Lambe Turah.
