Emtek Group Officially Becomes the Official Broadcaster of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics

Kapanlagi.com - The Tokyo Olympic Games were postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. After a year, the world's largest multi-sport event, the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, officially started from July 23 to August 8, 2021.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has appointed Emtek Group as the Official Broadcaster to broadcast 33 sports from the 42 venues of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Emtek was also the Official Broadcaster for the Rio 2016 Olympics and the Jakarta-Palembang 2018 Asian Games.

Harsiwi Achmad, Programming Director of SCM, expressed Indosiar's enthusiasm to broadcast eight sports participated by the Indonesian Contingent. These include badminton, weightlifting, athletics, rowing, shooting, archery, swimming, and surfing. In fact, Indosiar will broadcast all live matches when the Indonesian Badminton Contingent fights to defend the nation's honor from July 24 to August 2, 2021.

In addition to badminton, Indosiar also provides special coverage for selected live or delayed football matches from July 22 to August 7, 2021. They will also broadcast 9 Volleyball matches from August 3 to 8, 2021, including the quarterfinals, semifinals, and final.

Not only that, Indosiar also presents a series of other shows about the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. For example, Best Match of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics every day from 01.00-02.30 WIB starting from August 2-5, 2021. Olympic Focus segment aired every day from July 21 - August 9, 2021 on Fokus Pagi at 04.30-06.30 WIB and Fokus Siang at 11.00-11.30 WIB.

Focus on the Tokyo 2020 Olympics will be more special every day at 13.30, 24.00, and 02.30 WIB, starting from July 29 - August 8, 2021. In the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, Indonesia participated by sending 28 athletes to compete in eight sports branches. Badminton is the sport that sends the most athletes, namely 11 people, in order to win medals. There are five weightlifters, two representatives each for athletics, rowing, and swimming.

Archery, which used to be the first medal contributor for Indonesia in the 1988 Seoul Olympics in South Korea, sent four athletes. Meanwhile, for shooting and surfing, each sport branch has one athlete competing.
