The public was enraged because the victim ended up in the hospital due to being beaten and burned with cigarettes. The case became big after the name of musician and presenter Vincent Rompies was involved, as his son was allegedly one of the perpetrators involved in the bullying. The Binus Group finally spoke out about the bullying incident carried out by dozens of senior students against a junior student outside the school environment. It was also confirmed that one of the perpetrators is Vincent Rompies' child.
"Yes (Vincent's child)," said Haris Suhendra, Corporate Marketing Communications General Manager of the Binus Group when contacted via text message on Monday (19/2/2024).
One of the victims' colleagues, a student with the initials AF, leaked the news that Vincent's child has been expelled from school. The same goes for other alleged perpetrators who have the same fate or are suspended. In addition, AF also mentioned that RFL or L, Vincent's son, is known to be quite quiet, so many did not expect him to be involved in the alleged bullying.
