Richard Eliezer was once imprisoned for the shooting case of Brigadier J or Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat, which also involved former Kadiv Propam Polri Ferdy Sambo. He was sentenced to 1.5 years in prison and was conditionally released in August 2023. When reading his plea in court, Eliezer apologized to Ling Ling if their wedding plans were postponed. He was even prepared to be left by Ling Ling if he was sentenced to a much longer term. However, their story finally ended happily.
