Kapanlagi.com - An Air India passenger plane was reported to have crashed just a few minutes after taking off from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad, India, on Wednesday afternoon, June 12, 2025. The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner was carrying more than 240 people. The flight, numbered AI171, was scheduled to fly to London Gatwick Airport, England. After taking off at around 1:39 PM local time, the plane was airborne for 5 to 10 minutes. However, shortly thereafter, the plane lost altitude drastically and crashed in a densely populated residential area in the Meghani Nagar district, just a few kilometers from the airport perimeter.
