A Series of Bollywood Celebrities Accused of Being the Cause of Sushant Singh Rajput's Depression

Several celebrities, producers, and directors were blamed for Sushant's death. They are considered as the cause of Sushant's depression, which eventually led to his suicide on Sunday, (14/6) last week.

Although Sushant did not leave a farewell letter or confide in others about the issues he was facing, the Indian public is already angry about the death of the actor at such a young age, 34 years old. They also place the blame on the following individuals.

1. Karan Johar

Karan Johar admitted feeling sad when he heard the news of Sushant Singh Rajput's death. He regrets not staying in touch with the actor for the past year, even though his conscience told him to.

This was revealed by the director and producer of Dharma Production through social media. However, Karan's Instagram and Twitter posts received harsh criticism from netizens.

His tears were considered fake and not in line with the reality, as Karan was accused of blacklisting Sushant. Dharma Production was also mentioned in the list of production houses that banned Sushant in February, and Karan neither denied nor confirmed this news, causing the controversy to spread further.

2. Ekta Kapoor

Producer Ekta Kapoor also faced backlash from netizens for allegedly not providing Sushant with work anymore. She was accused of not being attentive to the actor, leading to Sushant's decision to end his life.

Upon hearing these accusations, Ekta got angry and made a clarification on her personal account. The renowned television producer revealed that she was the one who introduced Sushant to the entertainment industry. She also never forgot about her protégé, even though they rarely worked together.

Ekta Kapoor also organized a prayer event at her home for Sushant. However, her name still got dragged into the list of people blamed for the actor's death.

3. Aditya Chopra

The most talked about in public is Aditya Chopra's involvement in Sushant Singh Rajput's career. The feud between the producer from Yash Raj Films and Sushant is said to be the main cause of the actor's depression.

Aditya's problems with Sushant have been going on for quite some time. Starting from the film PAANI, which was supposed to star Sushant and be distributed by YRF but failed. Until the offer from Aditya that was rejected by Sushant, and then the actor was blacklisted by YRF.

All of Sushant's problems with Aditya are rumors that are freely circulating in the Indian public. Aditya does not deny and also does not provide clarification regarding his issues with the 34-year-old actor.

Now Aditya is being cornered by the public because YRF is suspected of banning Sushant and causing the actor to become depressed. However, there is no representative from this Bollywood giant production house who speaks out about this issue.

4. Salman Khan

Salman Khan, who was previously mentioned to have problems with Sushant Singh Rajput for defending Sooraj Pancholi, is now being cornered by the Indian public due to Sushant's death.

Salman Khan's production house is suspected to have blacklisted Sushant. As a result, the actor, who is affectionately called SSR, has had difficulty finding work and has ended up in depression.

Salman is also accused of practicing nepotism in Bollywood. These accusations have made Salman Khan's father, Salim Khan, extremely angry. However, Salim has not responded to the allegations that Salman Khan Production has banned Sushant.

5. Alia Bhatt

Alia Bhatt's name was dragged into the list of people suspected of causing Sushant's depression due to an interview on television a few years ago. At that time, she was a guest on the show Koffee With Karan.

Karan Johar, who was the host, asked Alia who she would choose between Ranveer Singh, Sushant Singh Rajput, or Varun Dhawan. At that time, Alia jokingly replied, 'Sushant, who is that?'.

However, Alia's statement was considered as mockery, referring to Sushant who had not yet become a top actor in India. Although Alia expressed her condolences when the actor passed away, her tears were considered fake.

Alia and Karan were then heavily criticized by the public for allegedly practicing nepotism. The public asked Alia to be aware that she would not be anyone if not for her father, who is a famous director, and Karan Johar, who only launched celebrity children.

6. Sajid Nadiadwala

Producer Sajid Nadiadwala is also mentioned as the cause of Sushant's death. Sajid's production house is on the blacklist of PH that blacklisted Sushant and went viral on the internet. However, Sajid and his wife firmly denied the allegations. They also revealed the contents of the last WhatsApp message from Sushant before the actor's sudden death. In the message, they exchanged news and Sushant claimed to be fine. Because of this, Sajid was deeply saddened by Sushant's sudden death.

7. Sanjay Leela Bhansali

Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali is also accused of neglecting Sushant. Because he was banned by Balaji Telefilms production house, Sushant eventually became depressed. However, this was denied by Sanjay's crew who claimed that Sushant actually received 4 offers from the director. But due to a busy schedule, the collaboration could not be realized. Sushant's relationship with Sanjay was also very good. When Sanjay was criticized by the public in Jaipur due to the film PADMAAVAT, Sushant defended the director and dropped his last name Rajput because of this issue.

8. Some Facing Legal Issues

Now some of the 7 names mentioned earlier are facing legal issues due to the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. They are Karan Johar, Aditya Chopra, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Sajid Nadiadwala, Salman Khan, and Ekta Kapoor.

Along with two other Indian producers, these six individuals have been reported by a lawyer for allegedly causing the downfall of Sushant Singh Rajput's career. The report has already been filed with the Bihar Police in India, and the first hearing will be held on July 3, 2020.
