Karan Johar immediately expressed his condolences upon hearing the news of Sushant Singh Rajput's passing. He admitted regret for not inquiring about the actor's well-being for the past year.

3. Alia and Karan Criticized

However, expressions of condolences from Alia and this actually garnered criticism from the Indian public. They are considered to be pretending to mourn and forgetting that she once mocked Sushant.

The Indian public never forgets that a few years ago they discussed Sushant on the show Koffee With Karan. When Karan Johar asked Alia who she would choose between Ranveer Singh, Varun Dhawan, and Sushant Singh Rajput, and this was the actress's response.
