Younger Sibling Denies Sushant Singh Rajput Committed Suicide Due to Financial Problems

However, the news was denied by Sushant's younger sibling, Mitu Singh. As reported by Pinkvilla.com, Mitu stated that her brother did not have any financial problems like the rumors circulating outside.

1. No Financial Problems

In an interview, Mitu emphasized that Sushant did not have any financial problems. He was not running out of money as widely discussed by the public.

However, he did not deny that Sushant was indeed experiencing depression and his condition had been poor lately. Mitu admitted that she had visited Sushant at his home in Bandra.

Before his death, Sushant also called her and spoke clearly. Unexpectedly, this was the last phone call from his brother before deciding to commit suicide.

2. Did Not Expect His Brother to Commit Suicide

Furthermore, Mitu also admitted that she did not expect Sushant to take the tragic path to end his life. In the past week, Sushant was indeed unwell, but suicide was never mentioned by the actor.

That's why Sushant's sister, who also lives in Mumbai, was shocked to hear the news that her brother did not open the door to his room. She was called by Sushant's cook who failed to get a response from the actor on Sunday afternoon (14/6).

Together with the locksmith, Mitu opened Sushant's room and found her brother had already died hanging from the ceiling in a kurta. Sushant's staff immediately cut the rope that was strangling the actor's neck, but unfortunately, his life could not be saved.

3. Scatter Ashes Waiting for Younger Brother from USA

After Sushant passed away, the family immediately held a cremation ceremony in Mumbai. Sushant's father flew to Mumbai with several family members.

Meanwhile, Sushant's younger sister named Shweta Singh is in the United States and will fly to Mumbai today, Tuesday, (16/6). The family will wait for Shweta's arrival before scattering the ashes of the late Sushant.
