Actor Rishi Kapoor Passes Away, Ranbir Kapoor's Father Succumbs to Cancer

Kapanlagi.com - Sad news once again hits the Bollywood film industry. Their senior actor, Rishi Kapoor, passed away today, Thursday, (30/4) in Mumbai after battling the cancer he suffered from.

The biological father of actor Ranbir Kapoor took his last breath in the hospital, after being rushed to the ICU due to a sudden deterioration in his condition. Shortly after being treated in the ICU, Rishi took his last breath at the age of 67.

1. India Mourns

The news of Rishi Kapoor's departure has spread widely on the internet, and one of the first people to announce it was Amitabh Bachchan. Through Twitter, Big B expressed his feelings after learning that his friend had passed away.

"HE IS GONE, Rishi Kapoor is gone. He has just passed away. I am devastated," wrote Big B on his Twitter account. However, Big B has now deleted that post.

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar expressed his condolences to the family through a post on Twitter. He feels very sad because Bollywood has lost a very talented actor.

"It feels like we are in a nightmare. Just heard the sad news, #RishiKapoor has just passed away. I am very sad. He is a legend, an amazing co-star, and a good friend of the family. Condolences to the family," wrote Akshay.

2. Taken to ICU This Morning

Rishi Kapoor was taken to the hospital and admitted to the ICU this morning. However, it turns out that his condition continued to deteriorate and he was unable to fight against the cancer he had been suffering from for a long time.

For two years, Rishi fought against the illness. He was treated for several months in New York and returned to India in fairly good condition.

But fate had other plans. Just a day after Irrfan Khan passed away, Rishi Kapoor followed him to the presence of God Almighty.
