Arjun Rampal Marries Gabriella Demetriades After 8 Years of Living Together

Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal officially registered his marriage with his partner, Gabriella Demetriades, in Goa on Friday. The couple completed the marriage registration process at the Sub-Registrar office in Mapusa, North Goa district, witnessed by several close friends.

Gabriella Demetriades is a South African national who works as a model and fashion designer. Currently, the couple is known to reside in Succoro Village, near Panaji, Goa, which is also the location where their marriage registration took place.

Both had previously obtained special permission from the Assistant Public Prosecutor at the local court to waive the 15-day waiting period that is usually required between the first and second signatures according to local regulations. Nevertheless, Vernekar stated that the new marriage certificate would be handed to the couple after 15 days, in accordance with the applicable administrative procedures.

Arjun and Gabriella arrived at the registration office around 4:00 PM local time wearing casual clothes. The marriage was registered under the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) applicable in the state of Goa, as revealed by Sub-Registrar Suraj Vernekar to PTI.

The Goa UCC itself is known as the only uniform civil legal framework applicable in an Indian state, governing marriages of citizens across religions and nationalities under a single procedure.

Before getting married, Arjun and Gabriela had been living together since 2018. The couple has two sons who have now grown up.

In December of last year, Arjun also confirmed that he had gotten engaged to Gabriella. The news was shared when they both appeared as a couple on Rhea Chakraborty's podcast, before finally officially registering their marriage in Goa this week, marking a new chapter in their relationship that has been ongoing since 2018.
