A heartbreaking incident occurred on the stage of Mrs Sri Lanka 2020, which recently took place in Colombo. Just minutes after receiving her crown, Pushpika Del Silva had to accept the sudden decision of Mrs Sri Lanka 2019 who snatched her crown.

Mrs Sri Lanka 2019, Caroline Jurie claimed that she did it to uphold the rules of the contest. According to her, a divorced woman is not eligible to participate in a beauty pageant for married women.
