Remembering Kobe Bryant, Priyanka Chopra Does This in Her Appearance at Grammy Awards 2020

Priyanka has known Kobe since she was a child. When she lived in New York, Kobe Bryant was already playing in the NBA and made Priyanka fall in love with his game on the basketball court.

"Kobe Bryant was my first introduction to the NBA. I met him at the age of 13 when I was living in Queens, NYC, at the same age as his daughter, Gianna. He ignited my love for sports, competition, and striving to be the best. He became an inspiration for an entire generation. His legacy is far greater than basketball," Priyanka wrote as she began her tribute to Kobe.

Priyanka also expressed condolences to other families who were victims of this accident. There were a total of 9 victims who died, including the pilot of the helicopter carrying Kobe and Gianna.

"This heartbreaking accident also claimed the life of his young daughter, Gianna. I am shaken and deeply saddened. My heart goes out to Vanessa, Natalia, Bianka, and Capri Bryant. I am thinking of all of you. I also extend my condolences to the loved ones of the other families and the pilot who were victims of this accident. Being present at the Grammy ceremony at his home in the Staples Center will be real," she continued.

3. Kobe Accident

Through a circulating video, the ill-fated helicopter was seen swerving before crashing into a hill about 7.6 km from downtown Los Angeles. Shortly after hitting the hill, the helicopter immediately caught fire.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the helicopter Kobe Bryant was on board was built in 1991 and owned by Island Express Holding. The FAA stated that there were five fatalities. Meanwhile, according to the LA County Sheriff's Office, the number of fatalities was nine.
