Sarwa Renjana means the greatness of love, and for Armand, this album is indeed a special tribute to Naja Dewi Maulana, his only daughter who is currently studying in England. The long distance between them makes Armand feel a deep longing, which he then expresses in the form of his work.

"Initially, this is the anxiety of a father who is far away from a child who indeed wants to pursue knowledge. As a father, I can't possibly forbid it," Armand expressed at a press conference at the Trinity Optima Production office, Melawai, South Jakarta, Tuesday (5/11/2024). Here are the details. 

Armand admitted that his anxiety due to his daughter being far away abroad became the main inspiration for this album. "In the end, that anxiety led to the creation of a work, namely the album 'Sarwa Renjana'," he continued. 

The feelings of longing and pride as a father are poured out through the lyrics in the album. Simhala Avadana, Artist and Repertoire (A&R) from Trinity Optima Production, revealed that this album is different from Armand's previous projects because it involved Armand directly in the songwriting process. "Here, I asked Armand to participate in writing the songs. Because it will be different to sing it when he also participates in writing it," Simhala explained. 

Armand also admitted that previously he chose to only sing in every project with Trinity. However, for Sarwa Renjana, he felt the need to get more involved so he could express his feelings more sincerely. 

“Actually, at the beginning of the collaboration with Trinity, I asked to be told that I only wanted to sing, but here I ended up writing as well,” said Armand.

This mini album contains five songs, namely Jangan Sampai Lepas, Aku Tempatmu Pulang, Senyaman Itu, Senarai Cinta, and the main song titled Surga. Each song reflects the love and longing of a father who hopes to continue accompanying and protecting his child.

The song Surga serves as a special reminder for Armand to maintain his health so he can live longer and always be there for his loved ones. This song is also accompanied by a music video directed by Shadtoto Prasetio, which brings a visual vibe of the 90s through costume choices like flannel shirts that are now back in style.

With only four people involved in the production, Sarwa Renjana becomes an intimate and personal work. Armand collaborates with Ade Avery as producer, Kamga as songwriter, and Simhala Avadana as A&R.
