"We from the PPA unit of the South Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit have successfully detained the suspect in the crime of sexual intercourse or sexual assault and/or abortion not in accordance with regulations," said AKP Citra Ayu Civilia at the South Jakarta Police, Friday (14/2/2025).

This case began in January 2024 when Nikita Mirzani, the mother of Lolly, reported allegations of criminal acts committed by Vadel Badjideh. According to the report, Lolly, who was dating Vadel, allegedly experienced sexual assault after being lured with promises of marriage.

"The reporter named NM explained that the victim's child, LM, was in a relationship with the reported party VAB and during their relationship, under the persuasion of the suspect who claimed he would take responsibility and marry the victim's child, LM was willing to engage in sexual relations like a husband and wife with the suspect," explained AKP Citra Ayu Civilia.

From this relationship, LM is suspected of being pregnant. However, Vadel is said to not want this to be known by his family. He is also suspected of forcing his girlfriend to terminate the pregnancy.

"As a result of this relationship, the victim's child LM is suspected of having become pregnant and the victim's child LM was forced to terminate her pregnancy by the suspect VAB. Because VAB's actions did not want to be known by his family," he said.

In the investigation, the police found various pieces of evidence that strengthened the suspicion of the criminal act committed by Vadel. The evidence included autopsy results, witness statements, and communication recordings from mobile phones.

"Based on the statements from witnesses and the autopsy results, as well as the doctor's expert opinion, regarding the report, NM as the biological mother of the victim's child LM, feels aggrieved and reported it to the South Jakarta Metro Police," said AKP Citra Ayu Civilia.

The police also revealed the modus operandi in this case. Vadel is suspected of using power relations and deception to persuade the victim to comply with his wishes.

"The modus operandi is the relation of power and deceit. Then, the evidence we have secured includes the results of the autopsy examination, witness statements, expert witness statements, and the mobile phone belonging to the witness," he said.

The police are still investigating this case and plan to soon submit the case files to the prosecutor's office. Meanwhile, Vadel's smile at the police reading the statement to the press has become a highlight for netizens.
