Aida Saskia, who is known as a dangdut singer, has recently started venturing into the DJ world.
It started with having my own player and being friends with many DJs. The singer of the hit song Ayam Jago in the year 2000 learned to become a DJ self-taught in 2009.
"Initially, I observed how they played at my house. I asked a lot of questions about what this button is for, what this button does, how to remix a song. I tried it myself at home," said Aida.
Aida was chosen to perform as a DJ and play her own remix when a friend had a birthday. Aida herself was considered capable of being a DJ by her friends.
When asked which is better, being a DJ or a dangdut singer, this 35-year-old mother of two answered spontaneously and honestly, both have their own pleasures.
Offer after offer to DJ at many big events has made Aida leave her family often and her parents disapprove. However, Aida is able to convince her parents that she can take care of herself.
"Why do I like being a DJ so much? Because the payment I receive is quite substantial, ranging from 15 million to 20 million rupiah," said the beautiful dangdut singer born in Bogor.
Aida explained, "Actually, I was hesitant at first to become a DJ, but because of my love for music, I thought it would be better to turn it into a source of income rather than hanging out aimlessly."
"And Alhamdulillah, there is also fortune in the DJ world, and from the beginning, I have always received support from DJ RR Rycko Ria, who is now my manager and also my work partner. So now we create a duo concept. So while DJing, I can also sing live," she added.
"All the songs I bring are DJ RR Rycko Ria's creations. Besides being a DJ, he is also a remixer/music producer who has been enjoyed in almost all clubs in Indonesia," concluded Aida.
