Lucky Hakim, who also served as a member of the Indonesian Parliament for the 2014-2019 period from the Depok-Bekasi electoral district, considers this survey result as a test to remain consistent and listen directly to the voice of the people.

"I see this as a test of steadfastness to always be willing to listen directly to the voice of the people, from village to village and even door to door, recording all the interests of the Indramayu community," he said when contacted by the media on Friday (7/12/2024). 

"As the elected Provincial Council member and also nominated to become the Regent of Indramayu, I have promised to free Indramayu from decline," he added. 

Although there is encouragement from some circles to invite him to run as the Governor or Vice Governor of West Java, Lucky Hakim asserts that he will remain focused on Indramayu.

"Astaghfirullah, seek forgiveness from Allah, now it's not my time to be entrusted as Jabar one or Jabar two, there are political rumors that I've heard, saying that I will be paired as the Vice Governor," he explained.

"Yes, it's understandable because I have successfully built my career in 5 cities and regencies, including Cirebon, Indramayu, Cirebon City, Depok, and Bekasi. I have been in the DPR RI, Vice Regent, and now elected to the Provincial DPRD. But I apologize, I want to focus only on Indramayu, my mother's hometown," Lucky continued.

For Lukcy Hakim himself, his focus for now is how to eradicate poverty in Indramayu.

"Indramayu must be saved, I am concerned, sad, and disappointed, now its residents have become the poorest regency in West Java," he said.

"In my eyes, Indramayu is on the verge of destruction, it must be saved, I pity the people, they pay taxes but do not get optimal services," he added.
