Youth designer from Indonesia, Migi Rihasalay, is currently shining in the Indonesian fashion world thanks to his imaginative works introduced through various fashion shows. In this holy month of Ramadan, precisely on Sunday (2/4) yesterday, Migi showed his other talent, namely in painting. He opened a learning class with 30 children in the Tanjung Lesung area. Last Sunday (2/4), Migi opened a painting class for 30 children in Tanjung Lesung. Uniquely, the media used was glass bottles.
Used soft drink bottles, in the hands of Migi, have a unique artistic value with a beautiful blend of colorful paintings with various themes. The designer calls it Bottle Recycle Art.
The used bottles, according to Migi, are first washed and dried, then painted white as a 'canvas', to be painted with various colors that emit high artistic value.
Migi has been doing this activity since a year ago, as seen from the collection of bottle paintings displayed in his house.
In addition to continuing to hone his skills, lately Migi has also taken real action, namely spreading knowledge of painting on glass bottles to children.
Dozens of children from around the Tanjung Lesung area enthusiastically participate in free bottle painting lessons facilitated by Migi.
Next, Migi gave a brief instruction on how to paint on a blank paper and a bottle, then let the children choose and play with colors on the objects they painted.
"Here, I'm just motivating the children to keep creating and exploring their talents in painting. I believe they have painting talents. I just need to guide them," explained Migi.
Not only that, Migi also equipped them with a set of painting tools so that the children can continue to express their creativity at their respective homes.
