Artist Catherine Wilson mentioned one of the reasons why her marriage with Idham Mase fell apart was because her husband neglected the amount of alimony given. Although she did not mention the specific amount, Catherine Wilson emphasized that her husband had agreed to it.
"Actually, from the beginning, he agreed, but apparently it turned out like that," said the woman who is familiarly called Keket when met in the area of Jalan Kapten Tendean, Mampang, South Jakarta, Monday (29/1/2024).
Keket said that her husband has been deviating from the agreement on the amount of alimony since the beginning of their marriage.
Even Keket, who initially understood, shook his head because the provision given was decreasing, until he no longer received it.
"Initially, the provision was not appropriate, but as time went on, it became even less. Initially, it was okay to understand, but it decreased to the point where I didn't receive it anymore, so it's okay," he said.
The problems didn't stop there, during their marriage, Keket admitted that problems kept coming. Finally, they decided to separate.
"We just don't match, we no longer have the same vision and mission, each of us has different opinions and arguments, so we choose to be on our own for now," he expressed.
For long distance relationship matters, Keket doesn't really have a problem with it. She is willing to travel back and forth between Makassar - Jakarta and always be a good wife.
"I have agreed to live in Makassar, I still go back and forth there, and if there's shooting, I will ask for permission from him, with his approval," said Keket.
Unfortunately, Keket's problems with her husband did not find a way out, and divorce became the only option. Keket herself has tried to maintain the integrity of her household, but it didn't yield any results.
"In a marriage, there will always be problems, and efforts will be made to maintain it, but it just can't work anymore," Keket concluded.
The divorce trial between Catherine Wilson and Idham Mase is still ongoing at the Religious Court of Depok, West Java. They have also attempted mediation, but failed, so the trial will continue.
