A few minutes later, Jojo took the stage. Wearing a blue and black combination blouse, Jojo was immediately greeted with hysterical screams from the audience. Not wanting to waste time, Jojo opened her performance with the song What U Need.

"Java Jazz Festival make some noise," shouted JoJo from the stage and was greeted by cheers from the audience.

Jojo successfully amazed the audience of Java Jazz Festival 2022 on the first day. After What U Need, the American singer continued her performance on stage with the songs Spiral SZN and Baby It's You.

The performance continued with the singing of the songs Like That and Gold. "Let's sing together," said JoJo.

Then, Jojo also briefly shared with the audience from the stage. She expressed her happiness to be involved in the Java Jazz Festival 2022. What made her even happier, this was her first time coming to Jakarta.

"Thank you Java Jazz for welcoming me. This is my first time in Jakarta and I am very happy and I want to thank Java Jazz," said Jojo.

"I'm not a jazz musician. But, jazz inspires me. Thank you for allowing me to perform here," added Jojo.

Although he admits he is not a jazz musician, Jojo himself acknowledges that there are influential musicians in his music career, namely Anita Baker.

"She is a very successful singer in R&B, soul, and jazz. So, I want to sing one of her songs," said Jojo before singing Caught Up In The Rapture.

JoJo also sang other hits, such as Don't Talk Me Down, Say So, Comeback, Pedialyte, and Think About You. As an encore, she performed Too Little Too Late, which is already very famous in Indonesia.

JoJo was the only special show performer on the first day of the BNI Java Jazz Festival 2022. On the second day, Java Jazz Festival 2022 also featured PJ Morton, and on Sunday, there was the legendary soul band, The Temptations.
