On Tuesday, January 18, 2022, Giovanni and his wife started distributing free food.
Not alone, Baim Wong also attended to support the good movement of Giovanni and his wife.
"Here, Gio and his wife are building a free restaurant. It's not easy, it requires intention because it's not just about building," said Baim Wong when met in the Kebayoran Lama area, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (18/1).
"It's not for any particular reason, I just think that restaurants always make a profit but in this case, I'm not thinking about profit, just the benefits," added Giovanni Tobing.
Baim Wong also shared how Giovanni and his wife prepared food to be distributed for free.
Baim also mentioned that Giovanni Tobing's free restaurant concept is catering, and the food is distributed to those in need.
"So here Gio thinks because he knows the production cost, what the system is like, and it turns out Gio and his wife cater, so they cook from 4 in the morning, clean up, cook again, so the system is already known. That's why Gio and I planned this according to his ability and our ability, God willing, together let's have a free restaurant," said Baim Wong.
In addition, Baim Wong also explained his involvement with Giovanni Tobing's free restaurant.
He said that his presence is to support the charitable movement carried out by his friend.
"So when I invited him, I said, 'you do this one, I support the management, let's do it together,'" Baim Wong concluded.
Both of them hope that in the future this event will be held regularly and can help many people.
