12 Reasons Reza Rahadian Is in High Demand Starring in Many Feature Films, Joko Anwar Says This

Reza started his career as an extra in the series BIDADARI from 2003 to 2004. HORROR FILM (2007) marked his debut on the big screen. Until now, Reza has starred in dozens of feature films, with the majority being lead roles.

Reza Rahadian once served as the Chairman of the Indonesian Film Festival Committee (FFI) for the 2021-2023 period. He replaced Lukman Sardi in that position. His term ended at the FFI Awards Night 2023.

On one occasion, director Joko Anwar shared his views on Reza Rahadian, who is in high demand for starring in popular films from the homeland. According to him, the biggest reason lies in the actor's attitude, as he deeply immerses himself in every character he plays.

"Reza Rahadian as an actor, he works not only when he comes to the office to read the script, not only during filming. This actor is extraordinary because he crafts his character in such a way even when he is not working," said Joko Anwar in a podcast on Kemal Pahlevi's YouTube channel.

"When he entered the character Adil in (the film) SIKSA KUBUR, he paid attention to everything, the way he walked, whether his steps were short or long, the way he looked at his conversation partner, whether with eye contact or looking down, and the mannerisms of his whole body in general down to his fingers, all of that was crafted by him," added Joko Anwar.
