April 13 is an important moment for Abidzar Al Ghifari as it coincides with his birthday. However, for this young actor, April also holds deep memories with his late father, Ustaz Jeffry Al Buchori.
"For sure, for the birthday, the late one is on the 12th and I am on the 13th, we always celebrated our birthdays together, never apart," said Abidzar in the Buncit area, South Jakarta, Sunday (4/13/2025).
According to him, the month of April has emotional significance because it unites three important moments: his father's birthday, his own birthday, and the day his father passed away. All three events occur within a close timeframe.
"So this April is a very meaningful month for me because it is the day of the late one's birthday, my own birthday, and also the day of the late one's passing, all occurring very close together within one month," he said.
For the past 12 years, Abidzar admits he has not been able to celebrate his birthday with his beloved father. However, he remains grateful for all the memories they once had.
"This means a lot, 12 years have passed without celebrating together, and there’s nothing we can do, so we just feel grateful," he said.
This year, Abidzar took the time to visit his father's grave at night. He has a special reason for choosing that time."Last night at the grave, the reason for night is so that we have more privacy, because thank God there are still people who like to visit the grave of the late," explained Abidzar.
He is grateful that many people are still praying for the late Ustaz Jeffry Al Buchori. However, for personal moments, nighttime is the calmest time for his family.
"Many people still pray, so maybe it would be better for us at night so we can have our own time, celebrating at night, intentionally at night so it coincides with the change of time, so we are together," he said.
