Originally, Angelina Sondakh was supposed to be released in April 2022, but she received a leave so she can be considered free earlier.

When she walked out of the gate of Pondok Bambu women's prison in East Jakarta on Sunday (3/3) at 06.22 AM, Angelina Sondakh couldn't hold back her tears of joy.

Not long after being released, Angie immediately visited Adjie Massaid's grave. She was not alone, she was accompanied by Keanu and Aaliyah Massaid.

Angie's tears didn't stop flowing. Since leaving the detention center, even at Adjie's grave, Angie's cheeks were continuously wet with tears.

"Alhamdulillah I have been declared free. I would like to apologize to all the people of Indonesia after my actions should not be imitated and emulated. I am very sorry," said Angelina Sondakh.

In addition to praying, Angie also kissed Adjie's tomb. As is known, Adjie Massaid died a year before Angie was involved in a corruption case.
