Anggun plays a role named Amisha, a character that requires thorough physical preparation. For totality, Anggun is willing to train secretly with Cyril Benzaquen, a seven-time world kickboxing champion.

"I was confirmed a few months ago by the production team for the role of Amisha in Reacher. This will be a role that heavily relies on physicality. I did not expect that Cyril Benzaquen, who is preparing to achieve his seventh world champion title, would have time to dedicate to a beginner like me," Anggun enthusiastically stated in a release received by KapanLagi.com (6/18).

This role is clearly not an easy task for a singer who is usually not very familiar with heavy physical activities. She has to adapt to a training routine that is far from her usual habits.

"My role is very different from myself. This role is very physically demanding and I have to spend hours training when I usually don't do any exercise," she explained.

"Cyril Benzaquen, although a world champion, is very patient and kind. The last time I exercised was three years ago for the Dancing with the Stars event in France, which I participated in, so I have to do some preparation for Reacher," said Anggun.

"Physically I am exhausted, but mentally I have to be at my best, because the audience is not ready to see me in this role," he said.

This new busyness has also completely changed Anggun's schedule. Several jobs and projects that had been planned had to be canceled in order to focus on filming Reacher.
