7 Photos of Chand Kelvin Acknowledging His Gratitude While Accompanying His Wife During Childbirth, This Touching Moment He Has Been Waiting For

The moment of the birth of their first child became an unforgettable experience for Chand Kelvin. The 39-year-old actor faithfully accompanied his wife, Dea Sahirah, from the beginning of the labor process until the moments of the birth of their son, named Ahmad Cadmael Dalsher Chandegra.

When met at RSIA Tambak, Menteng, Central Jakarta on Thursday (15/5/2025), Chand recounted the emotional moment when he called the adhan for his child just moments after he was born into the world.

"When the doctor Reino said, 'Mr. Chand, please call the adhan for your child', I immediately cried and prostrated in gratitude right there. I couldn't hold it together, it was too overwhelming because this was the moment I had been waiting for and I was there," Chand expressed with deep emotion.

"When I heard the first cry, it was like, tears couldn't be held back. His voice was like saying 'I have been born, Dad'. It's an incredible feeling," he said. He admitted to being very emotional when he first heard his child's cry.

"So I was there. When he came out, I immediately called the adhan. My voice was really trembling, but I wanted that to be the first sound he heard," he said, feeling very grateful to witness the birth of his son firsthand.

"I told Dea, 'No matter the condition, I am by your side.' Thank God I could hold her hand, I supported her all the way from the beginning to the end," said Chand, who did not want to miss an important moment in life.

Chand's presence in the operating room was also well received by the medical team handling the delivery. "Thank God the doctor and the team are amazing. Everyone is patient and calm, so I also feel calmer even though I was really nervous," he added.

"I learned to change diapers, bottle-feed, and bathe the baby. It's really fun. Maybe this is what people say, being a father makes our life feel like starting all over again," he said, admitting he has started learning a lot about the world of parenting. /aal
