Denada Elizabeth Anggia Ayu Tambunan, or more commonly known as Denada, has just completed the Umrah pilgrimage that she has long dreamed of. This single mother expressed that the pilgrimage has become one of the most profound spiritual experiences she has ever felt. While in the Holy Land, Denada continually prayed for her child, Aisyah.
For Denada, this year's Umrah moment feels very special. She feels that every second there is very meaningful and is the best time to pray. Moreover, this is a spiritual journey she has long planned.
"Yes, my prayers at every opportunity I feel are the most special times to pray. Asking Allah at every opportunity, I always pray for Aisyah to be healthy, that is certain," she said when met on Jalan Kapten Tendean, Mampang, South Jakarta, Wednesday (4/9/2025).
In addition to praying for Aisyah's health, Denada also sends her best prayers for her parents who have passed away. She hopes that Allah forgives their sins and grants them peace and light in their graves.
"Yes, I ask Allah to forgive all my sins, may Allah be willing to forgive the sins of my mother and father, may my parents always have a spacious grave, be at peace, and be illuminated in their graves," Denada expressed with a trembling voice.
Not only that, Denada also asks to be given strength in fulfilling her role as a single parent. She wants to continue to support and raise Aisyah until she grows up, is healthy, and successful in life and career.
"Yes, I was also given the opportunity, the strength, and the guidance from God so that I can raise Aisyah, see her healthy, and see her succeed in her work and career," he added.
Without being able to ask for blessings from her mother, who used to be the 'fast track' place, now Denada is truly maximizing her time in worship to express her hopes directly to God.
"Yes, the prayer through my mother was a fast track 'asking mom to pray for this and that', so this year I really used the moment of Ramadan to pray," she concluded. /aal
