Officially divorced from Edward Akbar on November 29, 2024, this year marks the first Ramadan that Kimberly Ryder is observing fasting without her husband by her side. Nevertheless, the 31-year-old woman chooses to focus on her family and children, enjoying every moment with deep gratitude.

This is her heartfelt expression about experiencing Ramadan alone. Let's take a look!

"Mostly with family," said Kimberly when asked about her plans to celebrate Eid later, on Monday (17/3/2025) at the South Jakarta Metro Police.

Kimberly admitted that she has let go of and forgiven much of her past. She does not want to harbor hate or resentment, because in her opinion, those feelings will only have a negative impact on oneself.

"I have forgiven a lot, even from last year. Just let it go, why should we hate, why have negative feelings, because it adversely affects our mental and physical well-being. So just take the good from it," she said.

However, Kimberly does not have plans to reconnect with her ex-husband. For her, if there is a desire to reconnect, the initiative should come from Edward Akbar. "No, if he wants to, he should have the plan, I...," Kimberly said briefly.

However, if one day there is an opportunity to visit, Kimberly opens the door wide for Edward to come to her house and meet the family. "Sure, come to my house, meet my family," she added.

This Eid, Kimberly just wants to celebrate moments of togetherness with her closest ones. She feels that her children's happiness is the top priority.

Although going through Ramadan without her husband, Kimberly still tries to maintain tranquility and go through everything with a sincere heart. She feels this process makes her a stronger and more mature person. "I'm actually happier and busier. God willing, it will bring good things for the children too," she concluded. /aal
