Melly Goeslaw has just uploaded proof of the royalty transfer she received from creating a song on her personal social media account.

In her post, Melly openly shows the amount of royalty she received, which is Rp4,978,443 from WAMI, not even 5 million. She accompanies this post with a lengthy confession.

"Alhamdulillah, Monday is full of blessings as I received a royalty transfer from @wami.id. Alhamdulillah," wrote Melly Goeslaw in her post caption (8/7).

"Whether little or much, it should be appreciated. Royalties are not like a salary that has a fixed amount every month," Melly continued. The songwriter and member of the parliament also revealed that the amount of royalties is variable and very fluctuating.

"Sometimes it can be very large, sometimes it can be very small. It's the same as being a singer; sometimes you get a large income, sometimes you don’t get anything at all. Coincidentally, I am in two places (singer and songwriter) so I experience both, hehe," she explained.

Nevertheless, Anto Hoed's wife said she prefers to be a songwriter because she can pass it down to her heirs. She also hopes that in the future, the distribution of royalties can be clearer.

"I just prefer being a songwriter, I don't have to perform, don't have to wear makeup, don't have to pay for production and all that, and still earn until 70 years after death. That's quite good for the heirs. It will only be nice if the management of royalties is done correctly, transparently, and accountably. I hope this can happen soon," she mentioned.
