Al Ghazali and Alyssa Daguise are officially husband and wife as of Monday (16/6/2024). The wedding ceremony was held intimately at the St Regis Hotel, Setiabudi, South Jakarta, and was attended only by family and close friends.
Husen Nurdin, the Acting Head of KUA Setiabudi Subdistrict, served as the imam for the wedding. During the ijab kabul, Al not only provided the dowry according to their wedding date but also performed the ijab kabul with firm confidence.Â
Although the atmosphere was full of joy, the marriage ceremony was conducted solemnly. Husen stated that Al Ghazali was fluent and firm in reciting the marriage vows.
"Very solemn, even though the atmosphere was cheerful. There was always applause, especially when Mas Al fluently recited the marriage vows, and his voice was very firm. I felt happy. He managed to memorize it in one go, amazing," said Husen.
Preparation for Al and Alyssa's wedding had apparently been done long in advance. Husen mentioned that they received the marriage registration documents since mid-April.
"Registered here, at the KUA Setiabudi, on April 17. So it has been about a month ago. Exactly a month, today is the 17th," he said.
Husen also mentioned the dowry given by Al to Alyssa. "The dowry might represent today, yes, there are 16 for precious metals, 16.6. Maybe it means June 16, although I don't know the specific meaning. But behind it, there's euro 2025, so it assures us that we want to immortalize the date," said Husen Nurdin, Acting Head of the KUA of Setiabudi District, on Monday (16/6/2025).
Husen also explained the witnesses in the marriage contract ceremony. From Al's side, the witness is a prominent figure in the government, namely Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, who is the Minister of Industry for the period 2019–2024.
