Dwi Andhika was one of the celebrities who attended the funeral of the late Titiek Puspa at TPU Tanah Kusir, South Jakarta, Friday (11/4/2025). He admitted to having very deep personal memories with the deceased.
He emphasized that the loss of Titiek Puspa is a great sorrow for the entertainment industry in the homeland. Eyang's figure will always be remembered throughout time.
"I feel like I have become part of Eyang's family because he is so nurturing, so kind, and so willing to teach. When we ask him to teach us something, Eyang is very eager to share his knowledge with his juniors, so we feel that when we meet Eyang, he is not just a colleague, not just a senior or junior, but already like our own family," said Dwi Andhika when met on Friday (11/4/2025) at TPU Tanah Kusir.
He mentioned that he once received a reprimand from Titiek Puspa while collaborating on a musical drama program. However, that reprimand became the moment he missed the most.
"Sometimes we get scolded, for example, if I'm in charge of the musical drama program and my voice is off-key, I'm told 'what's wrong with you, your voice is off-key.' That's what I miss, Eyang's reprimands that are very constructive. It's so Eyang, during filming when I meet Eyang, I immediately hug him and kiss his hand," he reminisced.
For Dwi Andhika, Titiek Puspa is not just a senior in the entertainment world, but also a role model who teaches many things. He admits to having received a lot of advice on being a versatile artist.
"Grandma once told me, as a public figure, you should learn everything even if you focus on one thing. For example, if you focus on acting, you should also be able to host, sing, dance, because those skills will come in handy," he said.
This advice has proven useful for Dwi Andhika's career journey, as he now often receives offers outside the world of acting. "And it turns out to be true, I get many offers, indeed I am challenged to dance, sing, host, and I immediately remember what Grandma said," he revealed.
According to him, Titiek Puspa is a very professional figure and continues to deliver an extraordinary performance even when not in good condition. "Yes, that's Eyang, Eyang is very professional even when she's not feeling well, but she still comes to the location and continues to deliver an extraordinary performance," said Dwi Andhika. /aal
