"I want to prove that I am capable and can voice the desires of the people of Jakarta," said Astrid Kuya.
In addition, on the same occasion, Uya Kuya stated that the community is now smart and understands the quality of the representatives they choose. According to him, popularity alone is not enough to be the voice of the people.
"Jakarta residents are smart, they can assess someone's capabilities to the point of being trusted by the community," said Uya Kuya.
"Just having the capital to work as an artist is not enough to be elected, it is proven that many artists are not elected," he concluded.
