The name "Eren" in Turkish means "sacred" or "one who attains enlightenment." This can be considered ironic given Eren's journey, which is filled with violence and destruction.

During his training as a soldier, Eren was known as someone who never wasted food. This reflects the tough upbringing from his family during hard times and his respect for resources.
