The murder case of actor Sandy Permana by the suspect Nanang Gimbal continues to attract public attention. The Metro Jaya Police finally revealed the chronology of the suspect's escape, who was captured after being on the run.

Nanang was known to have fled without a specific destination and deliberately cut off communication with his family.

"So he fled without a specific purpose, he fled randomly while calming himself during the escape," said the Head of the Metro Jaya Police's Resmob Subdivision, Kompol Resa Fiyardi, at a press conference at the Metro Jaya Police, South Jakarta, Thursday (16/1/2025).

Kompol Resa also explained that the suspect cut off communication with his family to avoid detection by the police.

This step made the tracking efforts for Nanang more difficult at the beginning of the search.

"If we search, we will definitely find, but coincidentally the suspect cut off communication with the family," added Kompol Resa.

The Director of Criminal Investigation at Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Wira Satya, revealed that at the time of the incident, the suspect's wife was inside the house and did not witness the murder committed by her husband directly.

"At the time of the incident, the suspect's wife was inside the house so she did not witness it," said Kombes Pol Wira.

Furthermore, Kombes Wira explained the background of the suspect's work. Nanang is known to work as a chicken farmer.

In addition, he also seeks additional income by working as a motorcycle taxi driver.

"The suspect works daily as a regular chicken farmer. Additionally, he also seeks extra income by working as a motorcycle taxi driver, something like that," he explained.
