Cinta Penelope along with her husband, Taha Gokhan Arikan, appeared to be harmonious despite going through the divorce process. They were seen attending the first hearing of their divorce at the South Jakarta Religious Court, together and side by side.
They even held hands, indicating that their relationship is not problematic. They also appeared to show no signs of problems while sitting next to each other outside the courtroom, waiting for their turn.
According to Cinta, she acted that way because she still loves her husband. "I love him. I love him so much, I love his family, I love him," said Cinta Penelope after the trial.
"We're still getting along. We're still fine, still friends," continued Cinta Penelope. Although they still appear affectionate, Cinta assures that she and her husband have no chance of reconciling.
Because she claims to have been divorced three times. "No (chance of reconciliation). (Because) If I want to reconcile, I have to marry again," she said.
When asked why she filed for divorce, Cinta refused to explain. "We're just here to have coffee," she said with a smile.
Cinta Penelope filed for divorce against Taha Gokhan Arikan in the South Jakarta Religious Court on July 3, 2023. They have been married since March 6, 2020.
In her divorce petition, Cinta Penelope stated that she only requested divorce without seeking any marital assets.
"There are no marital assets, none. We only ask that there be no defamation," she said.
When asked about the reason for choosing to divorce, Cinta refused to disclose. She chose to remain silent and quickly left the South Jakarta Religious Court.
