Happy news comes from the couple Brandon Salim & Dhika Himawan. On Sunday, February 23, 2025, they held the sangjit or official engagement ceremony simply at home. Although it was only at Dhika's house, the ceremony took place solemnly with decorations rich in Chinese nuances. What do the photos look like?
Previously, Brandon Salim revealed that he indeed plans to hold the wedding in mid-2025. On Sunday (02/23) they announced the sangjit ceremony attended by both immediate families.
The Sangjit itself is a traditional ceremony performed by the Chinese community after the proposal and before the wedding, in which the family of the groom-to-be visits the bride-to-be with gifts. Sangjit can be considered a form of an official proposal.
Brandon is known to have romantically proposed to Dhika Himawan in Japan. This official proposal ceremony is said to signify Brandon's seriousness and that the wedding day is getting closer.
A number of celebrity friends congratulated the 28-year-old man. As is known, Brandon is the son of senior actor Ferry Salim. Brandon has been active in the entertainment industry since 2008.
Dhika Himawan is known to be a professional and businessman who graduated from the psychology and journalism departments at New York University. Dhika is known to have mixed Japanese & Indonesian ancestry.
In his long career journey, one of Dhika's prominent positions that has drawn attention is the Chief Product Officer of Bali United football club.
