Jihane Almira, who represents the Central Java Province in the Puteri Indonesia 2020 pageant, will bring the name of the homeland to the international contest, Miss Supranational 2021. For the national costume session of this prestigious event, Jihane will showcase a luxurious dress inspired by the horses of East Nusa Tenggara. Let's take a look at the photos.
The costume with horse head-shaped decoration is titled 'The Dashing of Equus Caballus', a collaboration between Levico Butik and Eggie Jasmin Artisan Couture.
The fashion that showcases glamour and power is inspired by the cultural heritage of the homeland, specifically the horses from East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).
Equus Caballus itself is the scientific name for a horse that has extraordinary racing power and speed compared to other horse species in Indonesia.
As it is known, gold symbolizes authenticity, strength, and victory. Therefore, this costume is made with gold-plated material on the chest, headpiece, and boots.
The use of chains and other gold ornaments is shaped in such a way as to resemble a protective shield that exists in the headpiece symbolizing the masculine and strong knight's strength.
On the other hand, the scattering of 10,000 sparkling rhinestones throughout the costume and its combination with brocade and sequins on the inside, gives a feminine touch.
As a final touch, pearl and crystal decorations give a luxurious and classy impression to Jihane Almira's national costume on the Supranational stage later.
