After successfully captivating the audience with her role in the film Lara Ati in 2022, Keisya Levronka hones her acting skills in her latest film debut. This time, Keisya is trusted to star in a horror film titled Malam Pencabut Nyawa.
Keisya, who was previously famous as a star of Indonesian Idol, feels very enthusiastic when she received an offer to be involved in this project.
What Keisya feels is very normal because this is her first time playing in a horror genre film.
"From the beginning, I really wanted to play in a horror movie," said Keisya Levronka while visiting the Kapanlagi.com office in Gondangdia, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (25/4/2024).
Keisya is very enthusiastic about accepting the offer because her family is a big fan of horror movies. That's why her family is excited to hear that Keisya received the offer.
"Since I was little, my family and I always watch horror movies because my mom loves horror. So when I told her, 'Ma, I got an offer for a horror movie,' my mom immediately said, 'Take it, go for it,'" said Keisya.
Despite being enthusiastic, Keisya admitted feeling pessimistic about being selected in the rigorous casting process. Moreover, she was not the only one given the opportunity to audition.
"There is a casting process, with all kinds of things. It's not certain that I will be chosen," she explained.
Keisya mentioned that the role offered to her, namely Wulan, has a character that is very different from her real-life self. It was a challenge that she eventually overcame.
"She is actually very different from Keisya, completely opposite. Wulan is more of a cold, mysterious girl who has her own world. She is also more indifferent, perhaps more introverted. So, she is very different from Keisya," she concluded.
