Mandra said that the process of making the jengkol stew takes five days because it needs to be soaked until tender. Initially, Raffi Ahmad and Irfan Hakim were hesitant to eat it because they didn't like jengkol. However, they eventually tried it.

After trying it, Raffi Ahmad and Irfan Hakim were surprised at how tender the jengkol was. “This is like a potato (because it's soft). The jengkol is really delicious. This is my first time eating jengkol from Abang (Mandra),” said Raffi Ahmad.
