Yama Carlos' marriage has often attracted the attention of netizens. In 2017, he was once sued for divorce by his wife, but they reconciled. However, once again ending up in court, Yama Carlos and Arfita Dwi have now decided to separate. After a long process, especially regarding the custody of their children, they are officially divorced.
It is known that Arfita filed for divorce from Yama Carlos. Yama even revealed that he has not been able to meet his children since February 21. After much heartache and contemplation, the judge at the Tangerang District Court has decided on the divorce case between Yama Carlos and his wife, Arfita Dwi Putri, on Thursday (21/9/2023).
The divorce hearing of Yama Carlos and Arfita was held privately. The panel of judges granted the petitioner's request, which is to decide the divorce between Yama Carlos and Arfita.
"The panel decided on two main points, first to grant the divorce and secondly, regarding the custody of the child, the judge awarded it to the father, Yama Carlos," said Aldo M Sirait, Arfita's legal representative at the Tangerang District Court after the hearing.
Regarding the custody of the child, Aldo has not yet made a decision on whether his client will file an appeal or not. "We will inform our client of the verdict. Then our client will decide whether to appeal or not," he said.
Meanwhile, separately, Yama Carlos is so happy to be able to get custody of Marco, his only child. As it is known, Yama Carlos has struggled to meet his child, Marco.
"First of all, I thank Jesus that finally Marco Carlos' custody falls into the hands of his biological father through the court's decision at the Tangerang District Court. This country has decided that Marco's custody falls to me, his biological father," said Yama Carlos.
"For almost half a year, we have been struggling tirelessly, today is a historic day for us to fight for Marco and finally God has granted it," he continued.
As it is known, Yama Carlos and Arfita Dwi Putri got married in June 2016, then their child was born in 2017. After a long journey, they decided to separate, hopefully in the future they will have a better relationship for the sake of their child!
