For half a year, dangdut singer Intan Ratna Juwita lived separately from her husband, Maell Lee, without any financial support. Although she no longer lives with Maell Lee, Intan Ratna admits that she is happier now.

She expressed this when she was met at her residence in the Condet area, East Jakarta, on Tuesday night, July 6th. However, Intan admits that going through that period required a process.

"Yes, indeed everything needs a process. But what is clear is that I am happier now," said Intan Ratna Juwita.

In addition, this 30-year-old woman felt very devastated when she left the house with Mael Lee because she was expelled. Even at that time, the thought of ending her life crossed her mind.

"I was just staying, not given, just kicked out like that. At the beginning, I couldn't accept the reality, oh I remember I even wanted to commit suicide, oh what will I become if I separate from him," she said.

"But after almost a year, I am much happier," she added.

Now Intan's happiness increased when Maell filed for divorce in Batam recently, they plan to meet in a mediation hearing on July 12, 2021. 

Although they will separate and carry the status of a widow, Intan Ratna Juwita admits to being more independent even though she lives without financial support from Maell Lee.

"Yes, after the divorce lawsuit was filed, it means that God has other plans. Well, I'm happy. Alhamdulillah, blessings keep coming after the divorce. That's why I'm happy," she said.
