She was a victim of pedophilia. What's worse, it was done by her own father's friend.

At that time, her father was still busy with his band activities and her mother was still working. Mirriam, who was 4 years old at that time, was often left at a shop by her father.

“I was called but didn't understand at first, then he kissed me. But it's possible, right, if it's cute to kiss here, even to the neck. Then his hand would go into my clothes,” she said.

Little Mirriam didn't understand the meaning of the perpetrator's actions at that time. Until finally, she decided to report it to her father. Her angry father immediately searched for the perpetrator and beat him up mercilessly.

Apparently, the experience left a lasting impression on his subconscious and became a trauma. As an adult, he admitted to having difficulty when dealing with strangers

“So after that incident, I realized. I really feel it, I'm still so scared if there are guests, especially strangers. Especially men, I'm really scared,” she continued.

Nevertheless, she still tries to overcome that trauma. Mirriam said that family support plays an important role in the healing process of that trauma.

“I continue all of this not just for myself, but for whom? Who will I be proud of in the future if I succeed, so it's my motivation,” she concluded.
