MNC Pictures has found three finalists from the Klakklik online casting for Ikatan Cinta. They are Regina Kandou (23 years old from Jakarta), Evelina Witanama (23 years old from Surabaya), and Farah Nabila (25 years old from Jakarta).

Among these three finalists, it turns out there is a niece of veteran artist Lydia Kandou named Regina Kandou. So, was Regina chosen because of Lydia Kandou's influence?

Regina Kandou is one of the selected finalists to become a new player in the soap opera Ikatan Cinta.

Becoming Lydia Kandou's niece doesn't make Regina treated differently. She went through various casting processes from the beginning and was chosen because of her abilities.

"This has absolutely no intervention from Aunt Lydia. I did it on my own, made my own videos, and everyone can see that. So, I'm not taking advantage of my big family name," she said when recently met.

The person born with the name Regina Josephine Maria Kandou admitted to auditioning without her aunt's knowledge. When she was chosen as one of the top 3 finalists, she then informed Lydia Kandou.

"Praise God. Honestly, at first I had nothing to lose, because there were so many people applying, thousands," she said.

In order to get a role in the soap opera Ikatan Cinta, Regina still has to go through one more stage.

Regina will also ask for input and advice from Lydia Kandou to improve her acting skills.

"I have to learn a lot, of course I will play around, find time with Aunt Lydia, because I'm afraid Aunt Lydia is busy shooting all sorts of things, then we can chat," said Regina Kandou.
