Becoming a Famous Painting Forger, Iqbaal Ramadhan Is Exiled to Yogyakarta

Kapanlagi.com - Young star Iqbaal Ramadhan is involved in an action heist film titled MENCURI RADEN SALEH. The role he played is unique and has never been done before, which is a painting forger.

"In this film, I play an art college student. He has painting talent, he has a special talent for forgery. I think this is a unique skill. As an artist, not everyone can imitate someone else's work as closely as possible. Meanwhile, he can manipulate it to make his paintings feel as close as possible to famous paintings," Iqbaal leaked to KapanLagi.com during Visinema Week 2021, Thursday (3/6/2021).

1. Separated to Yogyakarta

To delve into the role that is still kept secret, Iqbaal Ramadhan was flown to Yogyakarta for one week. During his time there, he participated in a painting workshop with local artists Suharmanto and Dedy Sufriadi.

"Preparing this character is interesting. Together with Mas Angga and the Visinema team, I was sent, separated to Yogyakarta for a week to meet with two painters, Mr. Suharmanto and Mr. Dedy Sufriadi, to learn more about the world of visual arts. This is a world that I have never reached, regardless of the character I play. I have never explored, met painters, learned to paint, and observed about painters," explained Iqbaal.

2. Starring Six Young Stars

In addition to Iqbaal Ramadhan, STEALING RADEN SALEH, directed by Angga Dwimas Sasongko, gathers five other young stars. They are Angga Yunanda, Rachel Amanda, Umay Shahab, Ari Irham, and Aghniny Haque.

The film, which will soon undergo the shooting process, tells the story of six young people who conspire to steal the famous painting by Raden Saleh. Many things must be done to ensure the success of their mission, from hacking the system to performing deceitful actions.
